About the Marketing EXCEL-erator Program

Who should participate in the EXCEL-erator Program?

The Marketing EXCEL-erator Program is specifically designed for small business owners like you that want to take their business to the next level as soon as possible, but don’t have an in-house marketing department to help make that happen. Chances are YOU ARE the marketing department and often find yourself achieving only small incremental improvements to your bottom line each year. 

Where do you start and where can you turn for help?  There is no point going to an advertising agency because your budget and/or business is such that advertising won’t play a huge component of the plan if any.  What you really need is to build a strategy around creative and cost effective tools that will generate qualified leads. 

Of course there are hurdles with turning a strategy into reality.  Getting a consultant to help with strategic planning is expensive enough, but then you have to find the time and expertise to EXECUTE the plan once it’s developed.  While it would make sense to allocate some time to work on marketing every week, in reality it always gets pushed aside when one of two things happens; you don’t know how to proceed and learning how seems overwhelming; or you become too busy working IN your business.

This is where the Marketing EXCEL-erator comes in

This unique process works with small businesses in a group environment to help keep marketing affordable, while at the same time, exposing you to other small businesses for a source of inspiration and motivation.  Participants will begin working in May on their marketing system with Strategies for Success – Leaders in Small Business Marketing.  Through a series of preliminary weekly exercises, small businesses will learn to TRULY identify their ideal client, define what makes them different, set out their marketing goals and decide what they want to focus on with their promotional efforts. 

With these key components identified, participants can now come armed with all relevant information to start BUILDING their marketing system in Canmore, Alberta May 30th – June 1st, 2008.  While enjoying this beautiful mountain retreat, small businesses will learn and implement various tools and techniques available to grow their business with the assistance of a range of experts from both US and Canada.  These experts will give you exercises to complete and work with you to create various marketing components of your overall marketing system.

By the time you leave Canmore, you will:

  • Be more comfortable utilizing some very cost effective and powerful marketing tools
  • Feel more confident in your marketing strategy and experience a much shorter timeline in executing on these strategies now and in the future

What's Included?

Pre-Seminar - Strategies For Success will begin working with participants prior to the conference through a series of action items to flesh out their marketing strategy.  These emailed steps and laser telecoaching sessions will help you define the course you want to take with your marketing and find out more about your target audience, and how to position yourself in your industry.

Accommodation - 2 nights accommodation (Friday & Saturday) are included in a standard room, based on double occupancy. Strategies For Success will list participants so that you can choose a roommate or you can pay a supplement for single occupancy or an upgraded room. Strategies For Success has also organized a special room rate for you should you wish to extend your stay.

Meals - Breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks are included all 3 days of the conference. There will also be a wine and cheese reception included Friday evening and a dinner Saturday evening.
